Physical Description: Everything about Josephine alluded to her noble upbringing. From the elegance in her posture and overall bearing to the fine clothes she donned for everyday apparel, she was her mother's daughter.

Her dark brown hair was exquisitely styled and bore hints of natural curls. More often than not, she wore it up, preferring to keep it off her shoulders. Josephine's eyes - which were hazel - were heavily lidded and lined with makeup (of which she generally utilized very little), while her skin was a warm shade of medium brown. She had full lips and a nose that arched like a bow. A beauty mark rested diagonally from her mouth as a fervent reminder of her lineage.

She was built fairly average, as her body boasted only mild curves, and she carried weight on her hips and legs -- making her soft to the touch. Her choices of clothing were always tasteful despite their extravagance. Preferring style over making a spectacle of herself, she selected outfits that displayed her penchant for fashion while not bringing too much attention to herself. Regardless of her meager height of 5'5", she regularly wore flat shoes, as her size didn't faze her.

[PTab=PERSONALITY]

Alignment: Lawful Good
Habits: Fidgeting
Overall Personality: Josephine is known for her incomparable skills as a diplomat. She is tactful and observant, capable of feeling the pulse of almost any situation. Similarly, she is personable, kind, and well-spoken. With all of her resources at her disposal, she makes herself an infinitely valuable player in any social game. In spite of this, she has her pitfalls. In matters of romance, she can become easily flustered, if she even realizes that someone is interested in her at all. The latter maintains that she is slightly naïve in that regard. She also has a temper at times; however, she has a tight hold on this, and it only rarely rears its head.

[PTab=HISTORY]

Family: Yves Montilyet (father, age unknown), Laurien Montilyet (brother, age unknown)
, Antoine Montilyet (brother, age unknown)
, Yvette Gabriella Montilyet (sister, age unknown)
, Unnamed brother (age unknown)
Hometown/Current Location: Antiva, Orlais;border between Ferelden and Orlais
History: Josephine grew up in Antiva as the eldest daughter to Yves Montilyet. She was the heir to the family, and thus frequently facilitated talks between her family's estate and others. Due to her being the oldest child, she also found herself falling into more of a mothering role to her younger siblings. She fell into these roles seamlessly, as it became abundantly clear that she had the skill to grow into a seasoned diplomat.

Despite her family's difficulties after their untimely fall from grace, she carried herself with dignity and composure. She swore that she would one day restore the Montilyet name from the abyss to which it had fallen. So, she fell into the life of a Rogue. This profession ensured that she would learn vital abilities that she could use to reverse her family's exile from Orlais.

She became a bard and easily intermingled with nobles and others of their ilk. Josephine learned how to charm important people and unknowingly extract useful information from them. It was all too simple to descend into the insurmountable depths of The Game and its players.

Inevitably, though, she met her match in a fellow bard whom she ended up unintentionally murdering in an act of what she deemed self-defense. Upon removing the man's mask, however, she came to realize that she knew him. He was familiar to her, as they had once been friends years prior. The horror of what she had done rattled her to her core, and after that event, she rejected the Rogue profession completely, forsaking all violence. That choice paved the way to her becoming the skilled diplomat that she was today.
RP Sample: Dull pain radiated up her spine as she shifted in her chair. She couldn't even fathom a guess to how long she had been sitting here. There was simply far too much to do and too little time to do it -- but then, that was precisely how she preferred her work load. Ignoring the soreness in her muscles, Josephine leaned heavily into the text she was currently pouring over. It was a letter from a diplomat in Val Royeaux, seemingly testing the waters before they pledged their support to the Inquisition.

Their hesitance was frustrating but not surprising. They appeared hung up on the subject of reputation, which was a common problem for a noble to have. She studied every line of the letter and carefully picked each sentence apart for any signs of cracks in the armor. With every sentence she read, she began to compose possible counterpoints. They could be persuaded, of that she was certain. At any rate, she had dealt with worse. Compared to other correspondences, this one bordered on pleasant.

A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. She stretched her back and rolled her shoulders once in an attempt to relieve some of the tension caught between them. After that, she reached for a fountain pen, plucking it fluidly from its inkwell. Rolling her lips over one another, she narrowed her eyes, slid a blank piece of parchment in front of herself, and began to put her thoughts to paper. She had no doubt in her mind that she could sway this noble's opinion. Within just a few weeks' time, the Inquisition would have yet another generous benefactor on their side.
